Giving young people the power to beat obesity

You have the power...

Today, young people represent the largest part of the population globally. Increasingly around the world, we are seeing a desire for young people to get their voices heard. The recent youth strikes on climate change have shown the impact of engaged youth. But true and lasting effects to positively impact youth health, including overweight and obesity, will not only need to include young people’s input, perspective and suggestions: the initiative and leadership of young people themselves needs to be part of the answer!

Overweight and obesity is the result of complex system interactions and while we need to change this for you, we need to do it in collaboration with you. We need to move away from a focus on single-level interventions and move towards developing comprehensive policies. Healthy Voices will provide you with some tools and expertise about how to become actively involved in shaping your development and become an agent of change.
